About Terrace
Who built it
I'm Frank. I manage technical documentation for a living, and Terrace is how I'm learning to build for iPhone: something small, free and useful to me every weekend of the season.
Small on purpose
The big football apps do scores, tables and stats, and they do them well. Terrace doesn't try to. It does one small thing for one team, and puts its effort into making that quick to check, wherever you are.
A help centre that writes itself
Documentation is my day job, so Terrace documents itself. Each feature has a short, factual entry that changes in the same commit as the code. An AI agent writes the Help Centre from those entries by following a written procedure, and I review every change before it goes live. The history shows the help keeping pace with the app, change by change.
What Terrace does
Terrace tracks one favourite Premier League team's last five results and next fixture — as a Home and Lock Screen widget, an Apple Watch app and a notification at full time that can keep the score back until you're ready for it. No league tables, no stats overload, no sign-in.
Why it's free
Terrace is a personal project, not a business. It uses the free tier of a public football data API and costs almost nothing to run, so there's no subscription, no ads and no reason to ever charge for it.
Not affiliated
Terrace is an independent, unofficial app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the Premier League, the Football Association or any football club.
